Terruño is a Spanish word that means "my land" - a fitting name for this coffee produced from the homesteads of the small-holders that grow coffee in Mexico's Nayarita state. A few hours north and inland from the popular resort town of Puerto Vallarta lays the Cerro San Juan, an extinct volcano. It is on the slopes of this mountain that the coffee comes from. The farmers, over 260 of them, are members of organically certified cooperatives. The rich soils and micro-climate of their homeland as well as old stock typical varietals allow them to craft excellent coffees.

A good old cup of coffee - one that will taste familiar and comforting to most people. Soft aromatics of citrus, lime, nuts, and chocolate. Surprisingly good acidity for a Mexican coffee. Clean and rounded. A perfect cup to accompany breakfast.
