Background Info
El Jocotillo is a 32 acre farm owned by Anna Elaine Rivas de Vega. She considers herself lucky in that she has never had any major problems running her coffee farm. Anna Elaine’s ecological awareness has prompted her to implement innovative ways to produce organic matter for fertilization. She purchased a massive production of earthworms to process the coffee pulp to create “lombricompost” that she uses to fertilize the trees. The farm has natural wind and erosion barriers, and each year they use less chemical fertilizers.
Roastmaster Comments By R. Miguel Meza
A classic, softly sweet, well balanced cup. A winey aroma gives way to raisin and dried berry flavors that slowly fade to dark chocolate in the finish.
