We search the world for quality coffees that are exciting and unique.
Devoting hundreds of hours sampling thousands of coffee each year, we make it our goal to find coffees that will offer you the opportunity to experience this same excitement.
But as the saying goes, nothing lasts forever. True quality coffee is a rarity, so our coffee offerings change frequently as supply diminishes and new seasons bring a different selection of interesting coffees to our website.
Our coffees and the prices we pay for them are a reflection of free-trade practices. Because quality is like a pyramid, with commodity grade/low quality coffee comprising the base and true quality coffee comprising the top, the nature of supply and demand push the prices for true quality coffee higher and higher. In turn, we pay much more than Fair-Trade prices for our coffees, and we prove this by verifying what the growers are paid and displaying this amount on our website as “GrowerPaidTM.”
We believe in the highest level of transparency for our coffees. We want you to know what the growers are getting and that in our refusal to promote Fair-Trade, we are using a system that compensates the growers to an even greater degree.
