Years ago, a simple enjoyment for coffee turned into excitement, which turned into passion, which turned into Paradise Roasters. Deborah and Robert Meza established Paradise Roasters in July 2002. The company was founded on the principles of “sourcing fantastic green coffee” and “roasting to order.”
Deborah and Robert’s eldest son, Miguel, was brought on as head roaster and green coffee buyer because of his extensive coffee knowledge and past industry experience. Miguel had worked at various coffee shops where he obtained valuable experience meeting and negotiating with roasters. He subsequently discovered his love for the industry and spent even more time reading and researching the world of coffee and espresso.
Paradise Roasters has received much recognition for this, most notably through coffeereview.com and Ken Davids’ 100-point coffee rating scale. Paradise Roasters has had 29 coffees reviewed, all of which have received 90 points or above. Additionally, Paradise Roasters has earned more 94+ coffees than any other roaster. Besides coffeereview.com, Food & Wine magazine listed Paradise Roasters in the top-ten boutique coffee roasters of the US, while National Geographic included Paradise Roasters in their book Passport to the Best: The 10 Best of Everything as one of the ten best coffees in the world.
We like to think that that’s because a great cup of coffee transports you to the places from where the coffee beans come – paradise...
